Founded in 1977, BASS today is South Australia's major ticketing agency. It is owned and operated by the Adelaide Festival Centre, and since its inception has consistently led the way in creating new and innovative means for the public to purchase tickets to a range of events.
BASS was the first fully computerised ticketing agency in Australia. We have now developed a full range of ticketing services, and sell over 1.3 million tickets every year to a wide variety of theatre, music and sports events.
BASS Online was the first internet ticketing site offering real-time sales in the country, leading the field in this new and exciting method of purchasing tickets. Six years on, BASS has an ongoing commitment to developing even more innovative strategies in this medium.
All the profits of BASS are used to support cultural and community projects of the Adelaide Festival Centre which makes BASS the largest supporter of the Arts in the state!
To South Australians, BASS is synonymous with entertainment. Recent market research revealed that 81% of South Australians recognise BASS as the first point of call for booking entertainment. BASS Dial 'n' Charge confirms this by receiving nearly 400,000 calls annually.
BASS can process over 200 transactions per minute, or 30,000 tickets per hour through the combined efforts of BASS Online, BASS Dial 'n' Charge and the 27 outlets across metropolitan Adelaide.
Specialists in performing arts subscriptions, BASS also offers patrons a range of ticket and accommodation packages from a simple group booking to five star accommodation and premium tickets.
In addition to the venues at the Adelaide Festival Centre, BASS is the ticketing agency for venues in South Australia such as the Adelaide Town Hall, Her Majesty's Theatre and AAMI Stadium.
